Company History:
EMPA Group was established in 1982, in Istanbul, Turkey, as a semiconductor distributor. It was appointed as Texas Instruments distributor shortly after establishment and Intel distributor in 1985. Company established its first foreign company in Munich in 1985. It became the largest semiconductor distributor in Turkey market with distribution agreements of world famous brands in semiconductor industry.
In 1993, the company took a leading part in the IT field and expanded largely with more than 20 distribution franchises. In 1995 company decided to expand internationally and EMPA Hong Kong was established in 1995, and EMPA Dubai (EMPA Middle East) was established in January 1998.
EMPA Middle East was part of Turkish group of companies, EMPA Group. It was acquired 100% by totally new investors in March 2002. Since then the company is operating independently with new shareholders and new board of directors. As the trademarks and intellectual property rights of the company were also acquired for Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa regions, company continues to operate under the same logo as the EMPA Turkey group.
